Reading: We will be starting our first story on Tuesday.

Math: We are working on skip counting on a hundreds chart.

Grammar: We will be starting to talk about the rules for complete sentences.

Spelling: We will start our first list on Tuesday.

Social Studies: We will begin talking about our community and community helpers next week.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 5...Music.  Tomorrow is a Free Spartan Dress Down Day.  We will be having a PBIS Pep Rally in the morning and a Spartan Pep Rally in the afternoon!  Go Spartans!

Wednesday, August 28th

Reading: We will be starting our first story on Tuesday.  Today we read "Enemy Pie".

 Math: We worked on a hundreds chart today.

 Grammar: We will be starting complete sentences.

 Spelling: We will be starting our first list on Tuesday.

 Science: None

 Other:  Tomorrow is Day 4...Gym.  Please continue to send in your beginning of the year papers and your Sailing into Second Grade papers.  We had a wonderful start to our school year together. 

Tuesday, August 27th

Reading: Today we read some kind and unkind stories.  The teacher read the story "Stop Bullying Bobby."

 Math: We completed an addition sheet.

 Grammar: We will be starting sentences soon.  We will be talking about the rules for a complete sentence.

 Spelling: We will be starting our very first list of words. 

 Science: None

 Other:  Tomorrow will be Day 3...Computers.  Please continue to send in the beginning of the year forms and the Sailing into Second Grade papers.

 Other:  Welcome back everyone!!  I hope you all had a fabulous first day!  Tomorrow is Day 2...Art.  Please keep working on your Sailing into Second Grade papers and your first day papers that need to be filled out.  Today, I sent home a bus tag for your child.  The Principals are asking that each child wear them every day this week.  Please send the bus tag back with your student so they have it for the next day.  Thanks!!!
