Other:  Tomorrow is Day 3...Gym.  Everyone earned their dress down day tomorrow!  Great job!  I hope everyone enjoyed the field trip to Lake Tobias.  It was a fun and beautiful day!

Other:  Tomorrow is our Field Trip Day to Lake Tobias.  Please make sure your child eats breakfast at home because we won't have time to wait for breakfast at school.  We are departing school at 8:45.  Please dress for the weather.  If you want to bring a jacket just in case it is cooler please do so. 

Tuesday, Sept. 26th

Math: We are working on addition strategies.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 1...Computers.  Our field trip to Lake Tobias is this Thursday.  We are working on earning "smiley faces" for our dress down day on Friday.  Our goal this week and every week is "Acting Respectful."  :)

Happy Fall Y'All!!!

Reading: We will be starting our new story on Monday.

Other:  Monday will be Day 9...Library.  Our new goal to work on for the dress down day on Friday is "Act Respectful."  Please remind your child on how to act respectful no matter where they are.  Our field trip to Lake Tobias will be on Thursday, Sept. 28th.  Please don't forget to send a snack with your child every day.  Have a wonderful weekend!!  The NS Spartan football team will be home tonight hosting Mt. Carmel.  Go Spartans!!!

Spelling: We will get our new spelling list tomorrow.  The boys and girls took a pretest today.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 8...Gym.  Our field trip will be on Thursday, Sept. 28th at Lake Tobias.  Tomorrow's presenters for "All About Me" will be Grace and Brody.  Please don't forget to send a snack to school with your child daily.  Please look for a Dress Down Day ticket in your child's folder to see if they earned the dress down day tomorrow.

Spelling: We will be starting our new list sometime this week.  We will be doing a pretest before the list is given out to see what the boys and girls already know.  A note will be in your child's folder about the spelling pretest.

Science: We are working on Ch. 6...The Solar System.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 5...Art.  Our field trip is on Thursday, Sept. 28th.  Look for a slip in your child's folder asking about lunch for the day of the field trip.

Friday, Sept. 15

Reading: Pick a book at home and practice reading over the weekend.  :)

Science: We tracked the sun's position in the sky today.

Math: Please continue to review your math addition facts.  You can use the blue addition fact paper in your folder to help you.

Science: We are working on Ch. 6...The Solar System.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 3...Gym.  If your student has earned a dress down day for tomorrow there will be a little card attached to their homework paper letting you know what can be worn.  Great job to all of those students who were being safe all week.  Let's keep it up and make Sparty so proud.  The presenters today did a wonderful job sharing their "All About Me" packet.  Tomorrow's presenters are Cassandra and Jackson. 

Wednesday, Sept. 13

Reading:  We will be having the vocab test next week.  I will let you know exactly what day when it gets closer.

Math: Please complete the doubles fact worksheet     Please continue to always practice your facts.  The more you practice the better you will become at your facts.  :)

Grammar:  We are working on complete sentences.  We will have the complete sentence test sometime next week.

Spelling:  We will be having the spelling test on Friday.  Please study and be ready for the test on Friday.  :)

Science:  We will be tracking the sun's movement in the sky from morning until the afternoon.  We will be doing that experiment on the next sunny day.  :)

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 2...Music.  Please don't forget to sign and send back the field trip permission form for Lake Tobias on Thursday, Sept. 28th.  Cole did a wonderful job presenting his "All About Me" packet.  Tomorrow's presenters are Hunter and Emma.
