Spelling: We are reviewing the short vowel sounds.  When we get our first spelling list it will be words with the short vowel sounds.

Science: None

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 4...Keyboarding with Mr. Glessner.  Please return any first day forms to school as soon as you can if you didn't already. 

Tuesday, August 29th

Reading:  We read a story about what to do if we see someone being bullied.

Math:  We took an addition practice test to see what the boys and girls remember from first grade.

Grammar: We worked on complete sentences while writing about our first day of school.

Spelling: We took a practice test to see what phonics rules they remembered from first grade.

Science: None

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 3...Gym.  Please return any first day papers if you haven't already.  Yesterday you should have gotten your Picture Day form and your "All About Me" packet with the September calendar of when to bring yours into school.

 Other:  Tomorrow is Day 2...Music.  Please fill out and send in your first day forms if you haven't already.  In your child's folder there is a calendar and and "All About Me" packet.  Please complete your packet and bring it to school on your scheduled date.  Also, you will find a snack paper and the school picture form.  I hope the boys and girls had a good first day!!
