Wednesday, Sept. 13

Reading:  We will be having the vocab test next week.  I will let you know exactly what day when it gets closer.

Math: Please complete the doubles fact worksheet     Please continue to always practice your facts.  The more you practice the better you will become at your facts.  :)

Grammar:  We are working on complete sentences.  We will have the complete sentence test sometime next week.

Spelling:  We will be having the spelling test on Friday.  Please study and be ready for the test on Friday.  :)

Science:  We will be tracking the sun's movement in the sky from morning until the afternoon.  We will be doing that experiment on the next sunny day.  :)

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 2...Music.  Please don't forget to sign and send back the field trip permission form for Lake Tobias on Thursday, Sept. 28th.  Cole did a wonderful job presenting his "All About Me" packet.  Tomorrow's presenters are Hunter and Emma.

Tuesday, Sept. 12th

Grammar:  We are working on complete sentence rules.

Spelling:  Please review your spelling words

Science: We are talking about the Solar System.

Other:  Tomorrow is Day 2...Music.  A field trip permission slip is in your child's folder.  Our field trip is on Thursday, Sept. 28th to Lake Tobias.  Please send back the permission slip as soon as possible.  Joshua and Kiara did a wonderful job presenting their "All About Me" packets today.  Tomorrow's presenter is Cole. 

Monday, Sept. 11th

Reading:  Please review your vocab words

Math: We talked about subtraction number sentences today.

Grammar: We reviewed the complete sentence rules.

Spelling:  We talked about short vowel sounds and our short vowel words.  Please continue to practice your spelling list. 

Science:  None

Other: Tomorrow is Day 1...Computers.  Tomorrow is Picture Day.  :)  Isabelle and Chevy did a wonderful job presenting their "All About Me" packets today.  Tomorrow's presenters are Kiara and Joshua. 

Friday, Sept. 8

Reading: We are working on Character and Setting.

Math: We talked about stories that join...addition number sentences.

Grammar: We are continuing to work on sentences.

Tuesday, Sept. 5th

Reading:  We started our new story today called "The Twin Club."  Please read over your new vocab words that are found in the vocab pocket of your folder. 

Math:   We started Topic 1:  Using Addition and Subtraction Strategies.

Grammar: We are learning about complete sentence rules.  Ask the boys and girls about "meatball spaces"  :)

Spelling:  We started our new spelling list today.  We are learning about short vowel words.  Please read over your new words.
